Sony Ericsson unveils T707 for Maria Sharapova and fans

After Sony Ericsson signed on Maria Sharapova as its global ambassador in January 2008, the Russian tennis star, who is turning 22 this year, has been busy on and off the court. Aside from being involved in designing a collection of accessories, she has also been trying out new phones, the latest being the T707 that has just been announced.

Due out in selected markets from Q2, the T707 has a mirror-like surface with a hidden OLED screen that's reminiscent of the Japanese "keitai" (mobile phone). There's also gesture control which lets you reject calls and snooze alarms by waving your hand over the screen, a 3.2-megapixel camera, FM radio, Bluetooth stereo and support for HSDPA. No word on the price, though the phone will be available in Mysterious Black, Spring Rose and Lucid Blue when it ships.
